➡ Description of cartridges and replacement dates

1 . Foam cartridge 5 µm (sedimentary)

• Action: Deep filtration of mechanical impurities – stops sand, silt, rusty deposits and larger solid particles.
• Where: As a rule, mounted as a first stage, against carbon cartridges to protect further stages of filtration.
• Replacement: every 3 to 6 months*

2 . Activated carbon cartridge (granules)

• Action: Water clarification – reduction of chlorine, aromas and odors, organic deposits.
• Where: Second stage – pre-purifies the water, leaving it clean and taste neutral.
• Replacement: every 3 to 6 months*

3 . Carbon block cartridge

• Action: Adsorption of chlorine, pesticides and most organic compounds, heavy metals; significant improvement in the taste and smell of water.
• Where: Third stage – block cartridge perfectly removes chemicals before water goes into further circulation

❓ FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

1. How often do I change cartridges?

We recommend every 3 to 6 months*, depending on water quality, pressure and temperature. Higher water pollution or higher temperatures accelerate the consumption of cartridges.

2. Does the filter require electrical power?

No – the system operates passively, using pressure in the water system.

3. Can I install it myself?

Yes – the set includes all accessories (key, screws, plate, tape), and the assembly is described step by step at the point above, we also add a detailed instruction manual to the set.

4. Does the filter lower the water pressure?

Yes, minimally - the pressure drop (0,1 to 0,3 bar) still provides effective filtration without losing the comfort of use.

5. Are the cartridges suitable for water temperatures up to 45 °C?

Yes – all components are adapted to work in the range of 1 to 45 °C.

6. Can I replace the filter cartridges with others in the future?

Yes, the bodies are universal and fit most standard 10" inch cartridges (the most popular)

1️⃣ Preparation Before Installation

1.1. Checking Kit Contents

• 3 × Filter housings with pre-connected heads (in one frame)
• 1 × Mounting plate
• 1 × Installation wrench
• 6 × O-rings (seals) in the heads, pre-installed
• 3 × Filter cartridges
• 12 screws for attaching the plate to the heads

1.2. Tools and Additional Materials (Not Included)

• Drill with a ø6 mm drill bit
• ø6 mm expansion anchors
• Phillips screwdriver (PH2)
• Technical Vaseline
• 1" Male NPT water connectors
• Teflon tape or thread seal tape for thread sealing
• Optional: Adjustable wrench or open-end wrench for metal connectors

1.3. Preparing the Cartridges

1. Remove each cartridge from its plastic packaging.
2. Place the cartridges in a clean container with water and submerge for 30 minutes.
3. After this time, gently remove them and allow excess water to drain.

Note: Soaking prevents air bubbles and improves filtration efficiency.

2️⃣. Choosing and Preparing the Installation Location

1. Select Location

   Behind the main water shut-off valve.

   In an area with easy access for servicing and cartridge replacement.

2. Ensure at least 10 cm of clear space above and below the filter frame.
3. Close the water shut-off valve and release pressure by opening the nearest faucet after the filter.

3️⃣. Installing the Mounting Plate and Filter Housing Frame

1. Position the mounting plate below the three-head frame, ensuring it is level.
2. Mark the mounting holes corresponding to the holes on the plate.
3. Drill the holes and insert the expansion anchors.
4. Secure the plate to the wall using the anchors.
5. Hang the filter housing frame onto the plate by hooking the top profile of the frame.

4️⃣ Installing Water Connectors

Note: The filter housing set has 1" Female NPT threads for inlet and outlet. The customer must select appropriate 1" Male NPT connectors.

1. Select 1" Male NPT connectors that fit the 1" Female NPT threads on the housings.
2. Wrap the Male NPT threads with Teflon tape (several wraps).
3. Screw the Male NPT connectors into the Female NPT threads of the housings:

   The side marked with an IN arrow – water inlet from the system.

   The side marked with an OUT arrow – water outlet after filtration.

4. Tighten the connectors with an adjustable wrench until snug.
5. Connect the water system pipes to the installed connectors, ensuring all connections are sealed.

5️⃣ Installing Filter Cartridges

Reminder: Cartridges should have already been soaked for 30 minutes.

1. Unscrew each housing:
2. Check if the O-ring is in place.
3. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the O-ring.
4. Insert the cartridges into the housing in the following order:

   Mechanical (foam)

   Granular Activated Carbon Cartridge

   Activated Carbon Block

5. Ensure each cartridge is seated vertically.
6. Screw the housing back on: by hand or with the wrench until slight resistance is felt.

6️⃣ Startup and Leak Testing

1. Slowly open the main water supply valve (1/4 turn).
2. Observe the system for 2–3 minutes:

   If you notice any leaks, slightly tighten the affected housing or connector.

3. Once you confirm there are no leaks, open the valve completely.

7️⃣ Flushing and Putting into Use

1. Open the nearest faucet after the filter and flush the cartridges for 5–10 minutes.
2. Check the stability of the installation and seals.
3. Record the installation date on the housing label – this will help in planning cartridge replacements.
