Simple and accurate water hardness test
1. Pour 5ml of test water into a test tube (first line from the top)
2. Count the recessed drops and gently mix the contents each time
3. Finish the action as the water changes color from red to green
4. The number of recessed drops indicates the result of hardness on the French scale
Water hardness scale
- 0-7 °fH - very soft water
- 8-14 °fH - soft water
- 15-21 °fH - medium hard water
- 22-32 °fH - hard water
- over 32 °fH - very hard water
When the hardness exceeds 15°fH, water is eligible for softening.
