Application of the product

Aquatain AMF is a new generation product designed to limit the development of mosquitoes by acting on the surface of the water. It is not a classic agent for spraying air, plants or skin. The product forms on the surface of the water a very thin layer of silicone film, which affects the life cycle of mosquitoes.

According to the information from the label, the Aquatain AMF film works in two main directions: it discourages female mosquitoes from laying eggs on the surface of the water and prevents pupae from attaching to the surface, limiting their development to an adult form.

The product will work especially where mosquitoes develop in standing water: in ponds, tanks, barrels, gutters, sewage, water containers and other places where water is maintained.

Mosquitoes thrive in standing water, so fighting adult insects alone is often not enough. Aquatain AMF works on the surface of the water to form a thin silicone film that helps break the life cycle of mosquitoes. It is a good choice for ponds, reservoirs, gutters and other places where water may lie.

It is not a toxic chemical compound and works on the principle of creating a very thin silicone film on the surface of the water and interrupting the life cycle of mosquitoes. The film (membrane) Aquatain AMF has a very low surface tension, which affects the life cycle of mosquitoes in the following two ways:

• discourages female mosquitoes from laying eggs on the surface,
• prevents pupae from attaching to the surface and developing until maturity.

Aquatain AMF is safe due to its unique composition. Silicones are used in a wide range of applications including water repellent sealants, hair conditioners, lipsticks, and in the bakery industry as non-adherent sprays. They decompose in the environment into harmless silicates.

APPLICATION

Research conducted by many leading international universities has shown that Aquatain AMF is 100% effective in breaking the mosquito life cycle. In addition to its low surface tension, the product film has several other features that make it highly effective for mosquito control:

• it spreads around vegetation, completely covering the surface (creating a continuous barrier for mosquitoes),
• it is flexible in strong winds on open water and does not accumulate on the sides of water bodies with the wind,
• because it is silicone-based, it is resistant to degradation from ultraviolet rays.

METHOD OF USE

• for large bodies of water:

For standing water, in ponds and larger bodies of water, use at a dose of 1 liter per 1000 square meters. Aquatain AMF can be poured onto the surface of the water and will spread quickly around the plants covering the surface. Repeat use after 4 weeks.

• for small bodies of water:

For standing water in sewage, gutters, water reservoirs, old tires, etc., use a dose of 1 ml per square meter. (teaspoon contains approx. 5ml). Repeat use after 4 weeks.

The preparation is classified as harmless and non-toxic. Use with due care and store away from oxidizing materials. The manufacturer ensures that the product is suitable for mosquito control when used in accordance with the instructions of the attached label. It should not be used for any other purpose.
