The device (Conbee III) uses a new 32-bit controller with an ARM Cortex-M33 core (SiLabs EFR32MG21) instead of the 8-bit AVR microcontroller that was included in the first version.

A USB gateway does not require registration or connection to cloud services. No internet access is even required. Just connect the gateway to your computer, laptop, Raspberry Pi, etc. with the appropriate system - Windows or Linux, Ubuntu or Raspbian. Under Linux systems, Docker will be required.

To analyze communication between ZigBee devices, you can establish a connection between the ConBee II control program and a program such as Wireshark using the free ZSHARK software.

The gateway is compatible with a wide range of Philips Hue, IKEA TRÅDFRI, Xiaomi Aqara, OSRAM SMART+, Busch-Jaeger, GIRA, JUNG, Paulmann and Paul Neuhaus lights, switches and sensors.

ConBee III turns minicomputers such as the Raspberry Pi and Intel NUC, as well as PCs and laptops, into universal Zigbee gateways.

Thanks to the power amplifier, the ConBee III has an exceptional range. The signal passes through 2-3 rooms or floors, depending on the type of structure.

Devices located in the apartment are connected via the Zigbee Mesh network. In this network, all Zigbee network-powered devices, such as lights and sockets, act as signal amplifiers and can direct the signal.
