Active wine cooling is a process that uses innovative gel cooling technology to quickly cool the bottle and maintain its proper serving temperature without ice. This technology is used in the active cooling sleeves of the Vacu Vin. Inside the sleeve is a layer of innovative cooling gel that freezes in a solid state and stores cooling energy. After wrapping the bottle, the gel effectively and evenly dissipates heat, lowering the temperature in a short time.

This method works differently than a traditional refrigerator or ice bucket. Instead of just slowing down the rate of wine heating, innovative gel cooling technology actively lowers the temperature. This is especially useful when the bottle has not been pre-cooled, when the wine needs to be cooled quickly, or when you want to avoid melting ice and excess water.

Step 1: Freeze the sleeve

Place the sleeve in the freezer for at least 6 hours before use. Thanks to this, the innovative gel cooling technology is completely frozen and maintains maximum cooling energy.

Step 2: Slide on the bottle

Remove the frozen cover from the freezer and match it exactly to the wine bottle. Full contact of the cooling gel with the glass ensures fast and even cooling.

Step 3: Cool the wine

In about 15 minutes, innovative gel cooling technology lowers the temperature of the wine to the perfect serving range. The cover continues to insulate and keep the bottle cool for up to 90 minutes, even in warmer environments. If you store multiple bottles or if you want to keep your wine at a low temperature for longer, store additional covers in the freezer and replace them as needed.

Step 4: Store for next use

After use, rinse or wipe the lid and put it back in the freezer so it is always ready to use with another bottle.
