The LWPRO green 50mW industrial line laser is ideal for positioning the material or marking the cutting line on industrial machines, e.g. sawmills , wood saws or stone machines . The use of a line laser significantly increases the comfort of work and reduces material waste .
Thanks to the IP67 tightness class and a stainless steel housing , the laser can easily work in dusty or splashed areas, including in particular on machines where the processed material is cooled with water or other coolant.

Due to the fact that we are a manufacturer , we can easily adapt our product to specific customer requirements. Changing the output power, using different optics or replacing the power connector is possible even when ordering one piece . Making the laser in a different housing or modifying the power supply system are also possible, although they make economic sense with a larger order.
Laser radiation can be very dangerous to the human eye. Never look into the beam directly or through optical instruments. Be especially careful when using the laser module indoors, especially on reflective surfaces. Never aim the laser beam at people , animals , vehicles or aircraft .
The laser module sold is an electronic component intended to be built into the final device and which is not subject to the IEC 60825-1 standard. The device in which the laser module will be built or with which it will be integrated must be tested for safety and meet the requirements described in the IEC 60825-1 standard. The laser module sold in accordance with the IEC 60825-1 standard belongs to the 3B safety class, but after the correct installation of the laser on the machine ensuring the maintenance of a safe distance from the machine operator, the device with a built-in laser will be classified as a 2M class laser device.

The visibility of the laser line depends on:
- laser power
- The wavelength (color) of the laser
- Line lengths
- Line thicknesses
- The color of the processed material
- Ambient lighting conditions
The laser power directly affects the brightness of the line. More power - a brighter line .
The wavelength (color) of the light affects the brightness of the line because the human eye has different sensitivity to different colors. The highest sensitivity is in the vicinity of green , lower in the vicinity of red (638nm, 658nm), and very low in the vicinity of violet (405nm). For example - the green laser 520nm 10mW has a similar brightness as the red laser 638nm 20-30mW and a similar brightness as the red laser 658nm 50-100mW.
The length of the line affects the brightness of the line, because the longer the line, the lower the brightness per unit area for the same laser power. The longer the line, the lower the brightness of the line , which must be compensated by increasing the laser power. The length of the line depends on the positioning of the laser on the machine. The farther from the workpiece, the longer the line .
Line thickness affects line brightness in the same way as line length. The thicker the line, the less visible it is . LWPRO lasers typically generate a line 2-3mm thick at a working distance of up to 10m. In special applications , where the distance to the material is small - up to 2 m - and constant , we can set a lower line thickness at the module production stage. With a working distance of 1m, it is possible to obtain lines with a thickness of less than 1mm .
The color of the processed material can be significant if it is intense. For example , if only blue material is being processed, it makes sense to use a blue laser , even though a green laser of the same power is theoretically much brighter . Why? The material has a blue color because it reflects blue light and absorbs other colors.
Ambient lighting conditions have a great influence on the visibility of the laser line. It is one thing to work in standard office or hall conditions (300-500 lux lighting), another to work outside in a shaded place or in a well-lit workplace indoors (1000-2000 lux), and yet another thing to work in full sun ( 30000-100000 lux). The brighter the working environment, the more laser power is needed to make the line clearly visible .

A fairly well visible line starts with a contrast (in the calculator - Weber contrast) 1:1. A clearly visible line requires a contrast of 3:1-5:1.
